10// When I was younger, I used to think I was supposed to pee standing up. Mind you, I was living with just my dad and my brother at the time.
11// I used to have a My-Size Barbie. Never got a Barbie Jeep though. Still waiting... (And yes, I did have my birthday at Burger King)
12// The first concert I ever went to was a Switchfoot concert at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. One of the opening bands was The Format, and I fell in love with them. And yes, I did get to meet them. And yes, I do listen to fun. too.
13// I love when the power goes out. All the disappointments of everything in the fridge and freezer pushed aside, I just like the idea of living, albeit temporarily, without power (I don't know that I could actually survive long-term without it). When I was younger, anytime the power would go out, my siblings and I would play board games together in the candlelight, so when it goes out now, I expect people to just know to break out the board games and play them with me.
14// I took my first step at 7 months old, and it was documented (apparently on a Saturday?).
15// I'm black and Filipino, and every day, I'm sad that I never learned to speak Tagalog. Perhaps there's still time?
16// I call all dogs 'puppies,' and I'm obsessed with mine. World, this is Molly and Farah. Molly and Farah, this is the world.
Molly's the little one being crushed. Farah is the one crushing her. |
17// I have an obsessive personality. Sometimes, I get these ideas in my head that I just can't shake, so I'll dedicate a few weeks or a few months to it before I move on to the next obsession. Right now, I'm obsessed with buying records. On the day I found out Blogcation was canceled, I spent a little bit of the money I had been saving up for it on a record players and some records. Now I can't stop buying them.
18// I LOVE MOSCATO! My new favorite is Astoria Lounge Sparkling Moscato. It's so delicious.
19// Talents I wish I had: singing, dancing, painting, public speaking, playing piano
20// I love free things: free samples, chotskies, hand-me-downs. Even if I don't need them, I want them, and I'll take them, and I'll be so happy about them. Give me all the free things!

I had a Barbie car as a kid! I loved that thing.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely enjoyed reading your 20 fun tidbits. I have friends from the Philippines and when the speak Tagalog it is so cool...the call each other 'Ate Din'
ReplyDeleteMy sisters and I do the same thing when the power goes out. It usually happens at least once or twice every year, but we always bust out the candles and play board games all night with our parents.
ReplyDeleteAnd all dogs are puppies. All of them, no matter how big or old.
I love these types of posts :) Get to know the blogger better. I totally feel you on the barbie jeep ;)

Hey Tiffany, Sarah here from shutterbutterphotography.com - found you via Southern Girls BB - :) I love this post, it was so fun! I've never had the chicken pox either.. weird, right? I'm also a huge fan of vinyl records, so kudos to you! hope you're doing well!!
ReplyDeleteI wanted a Barbie jeep too! My dad got me all these Barbie dolls and their houses but never the jeep :(
ReplyDeleteYour progression from #3 to #4...hahaha. I could definitely eat sushi every day too though! :]
ReplyDeleteAs lame as this may sound I would totally pay off my student loans. I feel so stressed about them and would love to be able to catch up and then buy ALL THE THINGS guilt free.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a pair of Frye boots. Then I'd tell my husband I only won $200 ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha very sneaky! But worth it!
ReplyDeleteI would do the same thing! I feel like they're just a burden, and I want them gone!
ReplyDeleteHaha I guess my fish made me think of sushi? I don't even know. I love sushi so much!
ReplyDeleteSilly dads. They should have known that a Barbie jeep was the key to our happiness!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for visiting, Sarah! I always thought it was weird that I never got chicken pox, so I'm glad there's other people that understand! I hope I don't get it as an adult though. Yikes! And I'm glad you understand my love for vinyl! I'm addicted.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm happy you enjoyed it. I still want that Barbie jeep though...hahaha.
ReplyDeleteAw! That's so awesome. It's the perfect time to play games and bond. I'm so happy you agree on the puppy/dog thing. I've been trying to explain it to my boyfriend, but he just refuses to cooperate.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you did, Kimberly. My mom speaks Tagalog, but she never taught me or any of my siblings. I wish she had.
ReplyDeleteI'm officially jealous of you.
ReplyDeleteBlogcation is cancelled? Aww... I'm so sorry to hear that :(
ReplyDeleteYea! I was so sad about it when I found out. Apparently a bunch of the speakers cancelled.
ReplyDeleteWell, I would definitely put that towards my loans. I'm not sure how, but I would make that happen.
ReplyDeleteSame here! I can't wait for the day that I'm officially out of debt!
ReplyDeleteI just found out Allegiant will be flying from Omaha where my sis lives to St. Pete right by where we live so I would buy her a couple of plane tickets so she could come just for fun!!
ReplyDeleteWhaaaat!? That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteHi! I'd love to buy a plane ticket! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I would love to buy a ticket to anywhere!
ReplyDeleteI had to respond so late to this because it's so absolutely awesome and I needed to sit down and reply to each and every point.
ReplyDeleteSo.
I've never broken a bone or had the chicken pox either.
My happy place is in the Mediterranean Sea outside of Spain. So just across the sea...
Your Mr. T Halloween costume is the best Halloween costume I've ever seen ever.
I've never had a Barbie jeep either girl...one day...
I LOVE WHEN THE POWER GOES OUT.
I call all cats kitties. Same as puppies, right?
I'm on the hunt for a record player! I snagged a few vintage classical records and just need a player now...also Blogcation got cancelled??? WHAT???
I LOVE MOSCATO TOO. UGH IT'S PERFECT! I love moscato in cute little individual bottles...it's the best.
I always love free things.
Australia??? SO COOL. Have you talked to Shane about it?
Wine - yes. Puppy cuddles - yes. Netflix - yes.
That Oh Honey song is now on my top ten favorite songs of the week. Thank you for sharing it!!
That CoCo Chanel quote is really fantastic.
And of course you watch Scandal. You're a ridiculously smart girl who knows good television.
And if I won the cash...good camera/video equipment. Because I feel some blog experiments coming on.
lovelovelove,

she is cute :) very nice.
ReplyDelete- Our happy places are in the same, but different places! The Mediterranean Sea is so beautiful. I'll have to go visit the other side to see your happy place.
ReplyDelete- It was so fun drawing on my facial hair. We had a contest at work, and I was sad I didn't win, but I still had a blast dressing up.
- I still want a Barbie Jeep for real.
- I have a Crosley record player that I got from a store called 2nd & Charles, but I know they sell them on Amazon! This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Crosley-CR8005A-BK-Cruiser-Portable-Turntable/dp/B008F8DGJQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1416956285&sr=8-2&keywords=crosley+record+player&pebp=1416956291675
And yes, I was so sad when Blogcation got cancelled. Apparently a lot of the speakers backed out last minute. So rude.
- I've been following Shane's Aussie adventures, and she's done nothing to stop my obsession. She makes Australia sound so fun, and I want to go even more now!
- So happy you love the Oh Honey song! I heard it on a Spotify playlist and decided I loved it.
Thank you!
ReplyDelete- RIGHT! I'm thinking we should create Blogcation: The Mediterranean edition?
ReplyDelete- Wait wait wait. You DREW all of that on??? With WHAT? And I need to see who beat you out. Pics or it didn't happen on this one.
- Me too. How about I ship you a jeep instead of a Christmas card for that bloggy group??
- That's so AWESOME. Looking it up now...
- Ugh how/why?!? Who backed out?
- Shane, if you're reading this, Tiff and I want in. Blogcation in Australia is also valid.
- I LOVE it. Spotify discovery playlists are so fantastic, and I think most of the new music I've fallen in love with over the past six months has all been from that! (Aside from 1989...that explains itself).
-I've never broken a bone but I did have chicken pox. I was young though so I don't remember it at all. I've never had stitches either.
ReplyDelete-I couldn't imagine what I'd do if I met a celebrity especially if it was a cast member from Psych or Kristen Bell
-Did Erin ever actually comment on Blogcation being canceled? I've kinda stopped reading her blog because of the whole situation. I wanted to meet you! :(
-Thank you for helping me find another amazing song! I feel like we like a lot of the same music
Omg. I don't know what I would do if I met Kristen Bell. No words for how much I love that girl. I have no idea if Erin said anything public about it being canceled. I haven't been keeping up with her blog either. So happy you like the song!! I love sharing music.
ReplyDeleteI'd buy a new computer!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I could certainly use one. Mine is so old.
ReplyDelete- Yes! I'm definitely down with that idea. Mediterranean Sea, here we come!
ReplyDelete- Oh yes, I did. I used Mary Kay liquid eyeliner. It was a blast to get off.
- I think that sounds perfect. Jeeps are so much better than Christmas cards, obvs.
- I have no idea who backed out, but I'm pissed at that! Grrr
- Blogcation in Australia is so valid! I was looking up prices to travel there, and I got so depressed. Maybe in 2016? That's how long it'll take me to save up. Yikes!
Liquid eyeliner?!?! OH. My.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! You could definitely get some good stuff if you win the money. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteA new lens for my camera
ReplyDeleteI would pay off my bills from Christmas.
ReplyDeleteFor sure! Those can get expensive!
ReplyDeleteThat's so smart. I need to do that too.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to say that I'd buy something fun like a new laptop or camera, but I'd probably use the money to pay off some of my bills and loans.
ReplyDeleteSame here! It would feel so good to get some of that debt paid off!
