Pump Up the Jam(berry) + a Giveaway (CLOSED)
If you're anything like me, then most of the time, your nails are bare because painting your nails every week can be daunting. As much as I love having a splash of color on my nails, I somehow manage to chip them after just a few hours. It doesn't matter if I'm using gel polish or if I put on a million top coats. I always seem to chip them. You'd think I was working at some labor-intensive job, but no. I work a typical 9-5 and sit at a desk all day, so how they chip so fast is an unsolved mystery to all.
Thanks to my lovely blog friend, Emily, I've discovered Jamberry, and I'm seriously obsessed. I can spend just 15-20 minutes putting Jams on my nails, and I don't have to worry about doing my nails for at least two weeks. This is every lazy girl's dream!
I'm going to share this tutorial with y'all, but I ask that you don't judge me too harshly. I don't have a hairdryer, so I was forced to use another heat source known as my oven. Yes, I used my oven to heat these Jams, and I placed my hand in the oven after placing the Jam on each nail. Again, I ask that you don't judge, because the struggle is real, and I don't believe in using hairdryers.
Here's all the materials you'll need plus a hairdryer (or oven, obviously not pictured):
1// Place the Jam over your finger and decide which one is closest to your nail size.
2// Use the stick (I bought some shish kebob sticks for $1 at Wal-Mart) to remove the Jam from the sheet. Don't use your fingers.
3// Use the scissors to cut the Jam in half. Place one half of the Jam back on the sheet.
4// With your Jam on the stick, use your heat source to loosen it up a bit. When I put it in the oven, I waited for the Jam to start curling.
5// Place the Jam on your finger, and rub it so it's sticking nice and tight.
6// Cut off the excess using the scissors.
7// Use the finger nail file to file the Jam to the shape of your nail. Make sure you do downward strokes so the Jam better sticks to your nail.
8// Place the Jam near the heat source and rub it in a little more to make sure it really sticks.
9// Continue until all of your nails are Jammed out.
10// Admire your handy work and share your nails on Insta so your friends will be jealous.

I've heard so much about Jamberry, but I've never seen a tutorial that shows how easy it is! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI heard a lot about Jamberry, I like how simple it is and how long it lasts. I rarely paint my nails because they chip so quickly. I really like, Lady Lace in purple, it is a fun look. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are so great! I love how long they last - and the design you picked is so pretty! I have a few Jamberry sheets in my drawer that I need to get out and work with! Thanks for the reminder :)
ReplyDeleteI have way to many favorites. Right now I'm wearing Venus on my nails.
ReplyDeleteTickled Pink is my current favorite because I just want it to be spring already!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try these for so long!
ReplyDeleteUmm you did an awesome job! I can't believe you used an oven, I definitely would have burned myself, haha. But these look awesome- I've tried them once before but I think my nails were too short because I couldn't get the edges rounded off well enough.
ReplyDeleteI love the kiss me ombre :)
ReplyDeleteI am the worst when it comes to keeping up with my nails. Perhaps this would work better for me! They're cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the HP ones that Emily designed!
ReplyDeleteI've never used Jamberry but love all of the other options out there for stick on nail designs. I would really love to try these out though.
ReplyDeleteI bite my nails to avoid painting them but, this sounds like a better alternative!
ReplyDeleteI love the sunny lotus!

Carnival is the best color for me. :D
ReplyDeleteIf I can do it, anyone can do it!
ReplyDeleteThose are two of my favorite things about it. It definitely lasts a long time, which is perfect for lazy old me. I'm just like you - I rarely paint my nails.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I loved the design because it reminded me of Frozen! That's so awesome that you already have a few Jamberry sheets! I need to order some!
ReplyDeleteRight?! There are so many awesome ones to choose from. I want them all!
ReplyDeleteOooh! That's a pretty one. Of course, I'm a fan of anything pink. And I love tulips!
ReplyDeleteThey're amazing! They were the first stick-on nails I ever tried, and I'm officially in love.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't believe I used an oven either. I should have just boiled water and used steam, but my brain must have been all jumbled.
ReplyDeleteGood choice! I'm a big fan of ombre!
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm the same way. I hate doing my nails knowing that I'll just have to redo them in a few days. These lasted for a long time!
ReplyDeleteI love those too! I definitely want some of those in my life ASAP!
ReplyDeleteThese are the only stick-on nails I've tried, and they were awesome. Regular nail polish just doesn't do it for me anymore. I've officially converted to stick-on nails.
ReplyDeleteHaha yes! I definitely think Jamberry would be an awesome alternative.
ReplyDeleteOooh. Good choice! That one is pretty. I love the yellow.
ReplyDeleteThat one is gorgeous! I love anything sparkly!
ReplyDeleteI *love* Jamberry nails! Anything with polka dots is my fave!
ReplyDeleteSugar & Spice and Midnight Celebration!
ReplyDeleteOml an oven! I laughed sooo freaking hard! Tiffany you're crazy lmao. But don't feel bad, I also don't believe in using hair dryers on my hair either, I actually use no heat at all on my hair, but I do blow dry my dog cause I loathe wet dog smell lol. These nails are really cute and 2 weeks? niice!
ReplyDeleteomg! this is amazing! I love the love spell from jamberry, probably my most favorite one!! LOL and you're too funny <3
ReplyDeleteThe Love Spell jams are so adorable! I would wear them all the time if I had them. So cute!
ReplyDeleteI know, I know. I was desperate! Haha. I definitely understand using a blow dryer for your dog. That's so smart! I hate wet dog smell too. Maybe I should invest in a hair dryer just for that because towel drying just doesn't cut it.
ReplyDeleteGood choices! I would wear the Sugar & Spice ones all the time if I had them. So cute!
ReplyDeleteYes! Polka dots are always a win.
ReplyDeleteThese look so cute! I am such a weekly mani girl (I always do my own) and I've been hearing such great things about Jamberry. Definitely would love to try it! Also creativity points for using an oven - way to be resourceful!

I love too many to pick a favorite, but Atlantis is next on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely try these! I wish I had the discipline to my nails every week though. I love my nails painted, I just don't like doing them! And yes, desperate times for that oven. Now I'm thinking I could have just boiled some water and used steam, but I guess it's too late now!
ReplyDeleteI love the ombre, and I'm definitely a fan of anything that sparkles! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteRight, Same here.
