What an awesome month February has been. I can't believe it's already over. This year is flying by fast, which I'm pretty okay with because I have a lot of wonderful things to look forward to:
1) Spring - helloooo. Get this cold weather away from me. I'll take the rain over the snow as long as I can get some sunshine and 65+ degree weather.
2) Reunion with my friend, Anamaria - She'll be visiting Shreveport to go to a wedding, and I'll be attending as her date. I always have a fun time reuniting with her, so who knows what antics we'll get into?
3) Wheels Up Tour - I just bought tickets last week to see Lady Antebellum on tour with Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes. I'm extra excited to see Sam Hunt since I didn't get to see him when he was in town last night. I love all three artists so much, and I know it's going to be a good time.
4) Taylor Swift!!! - So excited to see my girl, Tay, in concert for the third time. I already know it's going to be a night for the books. Not to mention, I'll be seeing her in Chicago with two of my college roommates. "I can't wait" is an understatement.
5) Getting feedback from my beta readers - I have six beta readers who have been reading my book for the past 1-2 months, and I'm looking forward to getting feedback at the end of March. Once I do, I'll be making all sorts of changes and then hopefully taking the next steps toward publication!
Plus, there are so many more, but of course, there will be several blogs and vlogs coming about all of those adventures.
Anyway, like I said, February was a great month, so naturally, I had to make a video of my favorite things from the LOVE-liest month of the year.
I'm also celebrating my friend, Heather's, 30th birthday today! She's officially become a 30-something, and she put together an awesome group of girls (including yours truly) to bring you a chance to win $175! Even though it's her birthday, this cash is just for you, so use the Rafflecopter below to enter!
I am so excited for nice weather. I am determined to wear a sundress next week even if I have to compromise on a sweater too. So exciting about your novel! Major kudos.
Ah! That's the best alliteration ever! I'm starting to get feedback from my beta readers, and it's already inspired me to make some changes that I think will help the book so much. After I do that, I'd be happy to make you a beta reader for the next draft (that's draft #4. Sheesh!).
Yes! I love that idea! I was thinking about going a whole month without wearing pants, but then I'd need to buy some more dresses and skirts! I still love the idea though. And thanks!
I feel like it's going to be a long time until we see signs of spring in Michigan. There is still at least 5 inches of snow on the ground! I'm super jealous about all the concerts you get to go to! I cannot find any friends to go with me! I cannot wait to read your book! I'm sure it will me amazing!
5 inches?! Nope! I can't handle it. I love going to concerts! I like to make either Jon or my sister go to them with me! I can't wait to share my book with you! I'm so excited about it!
I was actually able to walk outside without a coat today so hopefully spring is coming to Michigan! I tried to get my sister to go to a few with me, but she called it a waste of money because she didn't know all the bands. I don't think I would ever thing of a concert as a waste of money! Haha.
Concerts are definitely not a waste of money! Even if you don't know the bands, it's a still a great time. I discovered some of my favorite bands as opening acts, like The Format (now fun.) and Eric Hutchinson!
Wait you are writing a book? I am SOOO impressed right now. What is it about??? Also, very jealous that you're seeing Lady Antebellum! Do you listen to a lot of country?
I am! I'm really excited to start editing it. I haven't looked at it for a couple months while I've been waiting to get feedback, so I'll be looking at it at kind of a fresh perspective. I haven't found a way to describe my book without it sounding weird haha. I'm going to work on a little summary and get back to you on that. But yes, I do listen to a lot of country! I listen to more of new country. I'm not a big George Strait fan or any of those super old country artists, but I like newer (more poppy) country artists like Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, etc.
I would kill for 65 degree weather - Columbus has a high of 19 today! How exciting about your book!
ReplyDeletewhat I would do to be in a warm state right now. It's -3 right now in Wisconsin. (insert crying emoji).
ReplyDeleteI want spring to be here. ;_; There is a snowstorm going on outside, hahaha. ;_;
ReplyDeleteI'll take that 65 degree weather any day now. We just got three inches of snow here last night. It won't end!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about your novel, so glad it's coming along!
ReplyDeleteCool! Good luck on the book. I can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brenda!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Llinos!
ReplyDeleteWe got a little bit, but it wasn't too bad. Most of it was scraped to the side of the road by the time I was off to work.
ReplyDeleteThree inches?! That's insane!
ReplyDeleteOh no! That's gross! Haha!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever been in negative degree weather. That sounds miserable!
ReplyDeleteThat isn't a high! Haha. That's awful!
ReplyDeleteUm. . . how do I get an early copy of your book?! Or be belated Beta reader?! (Say that 5 times fast.)

Definitely! I found Needtobreathe from a Taylor Swift concert a few years ago and now I'm going to a concert where they are opening!

ReplyDeleteI'm in Texarkana. Did you guys get that weird run of snow last night too?
