Ranking of Taylor Swift's Music Videos

ranking of taylor swift's music videos
Paulo Villanueva
Since Taylor Swift's music video for "Bad Blood" dropped on Sunday, I thought it would be the appropriate time to take a road trip down memory through Taylor's music videos. I know I've mentioned being a fan of hers since she had frizzy curls and cowgirl boots, but whether she's singing country or the latest pop ballad, I'm standing behind her screaming all of the lyrics. These are my rankings of T. Swift's music videos.

Side note: This was the hardest ranking I've ever done in my entire life.

24 // CHANGE
I do enjoy the song, but the video leaves something to be desired.

23 // OUR SONG
As much as I love this song (and as adorable as Taylor looks in her princess dress), the music video doesn't live up to its full potential. I would have loved to see a story play out rather than her just singing in a bunch of different outfits.

22 // FIFTEEN
I think this music video would have been much better without the random whimsical things growing and flying out of nowhere. "Fifteen" has such an amazing message for teenagers, and I think music video should have shown that. I would have loved Abigail to do something more dramatic when that guy screws her over.

21 // TIM MCGRAW
The music video that started it all.

20 // STYLE
I just don't know what to say about this music video. It has some cute moments and some weird moments. I more enjoyed the cute parts, but it was mostly weird parts. I do like the artiness of it, but I pictured the music video for "Style" much different.

19 // SAFE & SOUND
This video really shows how naturally beautiful Taylor Swift is. Seriously, this girl is flawless.

18 // MEAN
Taylor sends such an awesome message with this video. People are so mean for no reason, and think she did a good job showing that people are made of for reasons as small as wearing a different colored bow on their dress.

17 // BACK TO DECEMBER
I love this song. I love the message. I love Taylor's vulnerability while singing it. I think a lot of people can relate. All that said, nothing really happened. It's a nice video, but it's not one that I'd go back and watch over and over.

16 // WHITE HORSE
Heart. Breaking. And sadly, a harsh reality for a lot of girls at some point in their lives.

15 // THE STORY OF US
I love this song because it compares relationships to books. I love this music video because Taylor Swift goes crazy in a library.

14 // WE ARE NEVER EVER GETTING BACK TOGETHER
The perfect depiction of what to do after you break up with someone - have a party in your PJs.

13 // BEGIN AGAIN
It's hard not to enjoy this music video when it was shot in Paris!

12 // BAD BLOOD
There was a lot happening in this video. Watching it after watching the video for "Tim McGraw" really showed how far she's come as far as music video budgets are concerned. I think I would have liked to see more fight scenes rather than just introductions of everyone. When she was showing the video posters for all of the people in the video, I thought it was going to be a long video that told a super long story. I really enjoyed it though and watched it quite a few times. I think my favorite scene is the beginning one with Catastrophe and Arsyn kickin' butt and takin' names. Also, Taylor looks badass with red hair.

11 // TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR
I think this video show an arrow through a lot of girls' hearts. This song alone is so relatable, but the video just really hits home.

10 // MINE
I really love the escalation of this music video. So much love. So much adorable. T. Swift is going to make the most precious mama.

9 // OURS
This is one of my favorite songs by Taylor Swift. It's just so adorable and describes how I feel about Jon. The thing I love most about this video is that it perfectly depicts how Taylor Swift's hair would would look if she worked a 9-5. Plus, it shows that even if you have a crappy day at work, you get to go home to the one you love, and that  makes everything better. I also love that her boyfriend is a soldier.

8 // I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE
I like this video because it's like a mini film with dialogue and flashbacks and a story to tell.

7 // PICTURE TO BURN
"Picture to Burn" is one of my favorite songs by Taylor (the version with the "That's fine, I'll tell mine you're gay" line), and the video shows a dramatic version of what every girl would like to do to their slimy ex-boyfriends.

6 // 22
This video depicts pretty much everything I want to do with my girlfriends on a daily basis. Just so much fun and cuteness all around.

5 // EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED
I was so obsessed with this music video with mini Taylor Swift and mini Ed Sheeran. They're so quirky and obviously meant to be biffles. That part with them doing yoga. Plus, that magic marker insanity. To cute for words.

4 // LOVE STORY
How can you not love this music video? It's classic Romeo and Juliet. Taylor looks gorgeous. Romeo is handsome as all get out. It's like a modern fairy tale told in four minutes.

3 // SHAKE IT OFF
It's hard not to adore this music video. I love seeing Taylor try and fail at all of these different dance genres. It definitely makes you want to get up and dance along (which I do...often).

2 // BLANK SPACE
The outfits alone are absolutely incredible. Add in Taylor's insanity, an adorable picnic, Taylor standing on a horse, the ruining of an expensive car, and one of my favorite songs from the album, and you have a work of art.

1 // YOU BELONG WITH ME
I don't know how any video could replace my love of this one. It was so fun to see two different Taylor personalities. Plus, it's such a fun video where Taylor let's her dork flag fly. How can you not love that long hair part and huge glasses? Not to mention, Lucas Till. *Swoon*

What are your favorite Taylor Swift videos? What are your thoughts on the "Bad Blood" music video?

When Famous People Tweet You Back | Part 2

I feel like it's a little victory every time a verified person on Twitter interacts with me. I seriously get a little thrill and screenshot it. It doesn't matter if it's a favorite, retweet or reply, I get embarrassingly excited.

I already shared a few times famous people have showed me some love on Twitter, so you can check that out here

ACTORS/ACTRESSES
Shane West
I had just gotten my "Hello Boys" shirt from Mark Sheppard's Represent campaign. Jon ordered it for me because he loves me. I put it on and tweeted out a pic because I thought it was ironic that I was wearing a picture depicting Supernatural's King of Hell on Easter, so of course I tweeted it out, mentioned feeling like a heathen and justified my shirt choice with it being Salem Sunday! Then Shane West retweeted me, and I literally squealed (Jon as my witness).

James Phelps
As I mentioned in my Dallas ComicCon post, James Phelps tweeted me TWICE!

Claire Coffee
I don't know about you, but I love when celebrities take the time to blog. I have to admit that Claire was never my favorite person, because Adelind drives me crazy on Grimm, but after reading her blog and looking at her Instagram, I just started to adore her so much. Now I follow her on Twitter, and she literally cracks me up, and I love when she live tweets the show.

Ellen DeGeneres
Okay, so Ellen's never actually tweeted me or interacted with any of my tweets or anything, but she is following me, so I feel like that's the first step in us becoming BFFs.

MUSICIANS
Matt Hires
While I was in Las Colinas, TX for work, I decided to make the most of my time near Dallas and fit as many activities in as possible. My favorite night was when I went to see Matt Hires perform at The Prophet Bar. The day of the show, I was listening to his album nonstop, and in my excitement, I decided to tweet about it. I was pumped when he tweeted me back!

Ty Mayfield
Ty Mayfield was the opening act for Matt Hires, and holy cow, he was amazing. I don't know how people aren't talking about him all the time, because he was so talented. I've been listening to his albums so much, and I can't get enough. After his performance, I tweeted about him, and he favorited it.

Sheppard
After I discovered "Geronimo" for the first time last November, I pretty much had it on repeat for about a week. I loved it so much! After tweeting about my obsession, they favorited it.

Caroline Glaser
I really think Caroline should've won the fourth season of The Voice. I was so mad at Adam for kicking her off. Of course, I'm still a fan of hers, and I've been loving her EPs. When I tweeted about it last September, she was kind enough to favorite it.

Xenia
Xenia was another contestant on The Voice that I loved. She was on season 1, and she was incredible. I love a lot of the songs she's put out, and I'm especially in love with the song "Hiding Places." When I tweeted out about it, she retweeted me.

John King
John is an up-and-comer in the country music scene. After hearing his collab with Cimorelli, I became obsessed, so of course I had to tweet about it. I was so happy when he replied!

AUTHORS
Jodi Picoult
As soon as I read in Jodi's newsletter that there was going to be a companion novel to Between the Lines, I was so excited that I had to tweet about it, and then I was even more excited when she retweeted me!

Sarah Dessen
While reading Sarah Dessen's new novel, Saint Anything, I tweeted quite a few times, and Sarah Dessen was sweet enough to show me some love with a few favorites.

Rainbow Rowell
I became such a fan of Rainbow after reading Eleanor & Park and Fangirl, and she showed me some love by favoriting my tweets.

Marissa Meyer
During NaNoWriMo, I was obsessed with reading through tips from Marissa, because she started out writing with NaNoWriMo before she was published, and that just really motivated me. Plus, Marissa is just an awesome person, and she had tweeted me in the past, but these ones were extra special because during most of 2014, I was trying to plan out my novel, and she's one of the main reasons I decided to participate in NaNo in the first place.

E. Lockhart
After reading We Were Liars, I became a huge fan of E. Lockhart. This book hooks you from the beginning, and it's this crazy mystery with a mind-blowing ending, and it's just incredible. I was so grateful that she took the time to thank me TWICE after tweeting out about how much I loved her book.

Jennifer Niven
While I was nearing the end of All the Bright Places, I realized that it was almost 1 am, but I was so close to the end, that I decided to just go ahead and finish it. I tweeted out my thoughts, and Jennifer was kind enough to show me some love with a retweet.

Suzanne Young
I was pretty enthusiastic about finishing The Program (though sadly I still haven't read The Treatment), and I think this tweet that Suzanne favorited pretty much says it all.

Leila Sales
I adore Leila Sales, and she's tweeted me back before, but every time she interacts with me is exciting. She tweeted about the book cover for her new book, and I tweeted her back saying I loved it, because I do. It's freaking precious. You can look at it here. Then she favorited my tweet.

Frank Portman
When I was at Texas Teen Book Festival, I had an awesome little chat with Frank Portman while I was waiting in the book buying line, and he was peacing out. During one of the activities, I tweeted about the song he sang, which I still love, and he retweeted me!

Leila Howland
I discovered Leila's book when I went to the Austin Teen Book Festival, but I never met her because I didn't buy the book at the festival. I later read it and loved it. She was sweet enough to favorite the tweet I published about reading her book, Nantucket Blue, and then she replied to a later tweet to thank me for reviewing it.

I love when well-known people interact with me on Twitter, whether it's a celebrity, an author or even a well-known blogger or YouTuber. My dream tweet backs would be Emma Watson, Kristen Bell, Taylor Swift, Zac Efron, JK Rowling, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins and Zoe Sugg.

Have any famous or well-known people tweeted you? What famous people do you wish would tweet you back?

Supernatural #HousCon: Day 3.

supernatural con houston 2015 houscon

Be sure to check out day 1 and day 2 of my first Supernatural Con!

I knew the last day of Supernatural Con was going to be amazing, because, duh, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles were going to be there. Sunday was the day that sold out the fastest because everyone wanted to see the stars of the show, but if I ever go to another one, I will definitely be going all three days, because, like I said, Friday, aka day 1, was my favorite.

Unlike Friday and Saturday, Sunday was filled with a lot of gaps for us because we didn't have any photo ops to look forward to, and the autographs for Jared and Jensen weren't until later in the day, so in between panels, there was a lot of time wasting and eating/drinking.

The first Q&A of the day was with Colin Ford, who played the young Sam Winchester. He was freaking adorable. He said he just turned 18, and he has this precious baby face. Also, his laugh is just too cute. He answered a ton of questions, which was really great. I enjoyed getting to know him because he was a few years younger when he was actually on the show, so it was interesting hearing his stories about being underage on set and new projects he's had since working on Supernatural

Louden Swain took the stage to play a few songs, and as per usual, they did not disappoint.

After enjoying some Starbucks, we headed back to the main room for the Q&A with Tahmoh Penikett, who played Gadreel and Ezekial. I was extra excited for his panel because I first new Tahmoh from Dollhouse, which is one of my favorite shows. I was devastated when it got cancelled. It was SO GOOD! But I really enjoyed Tahmoh's panel. There were a lot of sci-fi fans in the audience (obviously), and people asked him some really in depth questions about character parallels and such. Of course, I caught none of that on film, but take my word for it. He had a great answers to all of the questions he was asked.

The last Q&A panel of the show was with Jared and Jensen. Hearing them speak and answer questions about their lives and their characters made me love them so much more. You can tell that they're really good friends and they've known each other for years because they just vibe off of one another. They're hilarious together, and they constantly crack jokes. Jared is a little more outgoing, and Jensen is a bit more reserved, but he is definitely a one-liner. I loved seeing them interact with each other onstage. Plus, they're not bad to look at at all. I thought they were attractive on TV...pshhhh. That's nothing compared to real life. Gah!

After their amazing panel, we had several hours to kill, so Jon and I went to lunch at Cajun Town Cafe in Houston. Jon got a burger, and I decided on frog legs. I love frog legs, but these weren't my favorite. I feel like they could have used a lot more flavor. Oddly enough, there was too much breading. Jon enjoyed his burger, but he said it wasn't anything special. The fries were delicious though. They were skinny and crispy, just like I like them.

After a jam session to "Carry On My Wayward Son" in the car, we headed back to the hotel to wait to get autographs from Jared and Jensen. Jensen signed autographs for us first, and holy cow, he's freaking gorgeous up close. Wow! Just...yea. Unfortunately, no conversation was really had with Jensen besides a hi and bye. I was pretty disappointed about that, but oh well.

Next, we went to Jared for autographs, and, again, freaking attractive! I was surprised I could even speak to him. He's come a long way since Gilmore Girls. I was glad that we went to Jared last because he actually had a conversation with us. Jon asked if he was tired or something, and Jared said he was fine because he was still on Vancouver time. He asked if we were tired, and we both said we were exhausted. I said we still had a four-hour drive ahead of us, and he asked where we had driven from. I told him Shreveport and said it was our first Supernatural Con. He thanked us profusely and asked if we had a good time, and duh we told him it had been awesome. Then we were shooed away. I think that was the perfect end to an amazing weekend.

We were so sad to see the weekend come to an end, but we were also grateful to be home. I was extra excited to see Molly because I missed my puppy so much. If Jon and I ever get the opportunity to go to another Supernatural Con, I think we would jump at the chance. Maybe we should start saving now... Hmm...

Supernatural #HousCon: Day 2

supernatural con in houston 2015

If you're just now tuning in, be sure to check out my post about Supernatural HousCon Day 1!

Even though the first day of Supernatural Con was my favorite, the second day was still pretty dang amazing! I was ready in my fangirl getting, sporting my brand new Winchester Bros. shirt. It's so comfy, and I adore it.

After Dick and Rob opened the show with their hilarious banter, Sebastian Roche, who plays Balthazar, took the stage for his Q&A panel. I use the term "Q&A" loosely because there weren't many questions or answers. A lot of his panel was spent singing random songs with the band and running through the crowd. It was pretty entertaining.

Mark Pellegrino took the stage next. He played Lucifer in Supernatural. He was very poised compared to some of the other guests, but he was still so funny. I was excited to see Mark because I also knew him from Lost, which I loved, even though it got super confusing. He also guest starred in an episode of Grimm, so really I was just pumped about his Q&A. He answered a lot of questions and even invited someone onstage with him.

During intermission, Jon and I went to see the infamous Impala, and this time, the trunk was open, so we were able to see all of the craziness inside of it.

The next panel was Gil McKinney! He took the stage for a second time, and I loved it because he's so cute and adorable and fun. He's just down-to-earth, and after hearing him sing several times on Friday, I was absolutely swooning over him. I would love to meet him the next time I'm able to go to a Con.

I knew I was going to love the next Q&A panel, because it had three people in it: Dick (aka the Trickster and Gabriel), Matt Cohen (the young John Winchester), and Rob. There was so much hilarity onstage, including a game of F, Marry, Kill and Dick singing "Let It Go." There are no words for how amazing the three of them are together. So. Much. Laughter.

After the Q&A panel, Jon and I got in line for our photo op with Misha Collins and Mark Sheppard. Misha plays my favorite character, Castiel, and Mark plays Jon's favorite character, Crowley, aka the king of hell. We ended up getting to take two pictures with them because Jon blinked in the first one. I wanted to do a fun picture, but I was pretty much speechless and couldn't say anything other than "hi." I gave them each hugs though and squeezed myself between the two of them. They're so lovely. Ah!

After a quick lunch of hotel pizza and some cake pops from the hotel's Starbucks, Jon and I were all set for Mark Sheppard's panel. He started the panel by eating steak and fries onstage. He answered all of the questions sarcastically. I loved his dry sense of humor and his honesty.

The last panel of the day was Misha's. There were lots of screams and squeals during his panel. One thing I love about Misha is that he uses his status to do good in the world. At the beginning of his panel, he collected tampons and pads to donate to the Salvation Army. How awesome is that?! I hung on Misha's every word because I loved everything he had to say, both funny and serious. He also opened a tampon for the first time onstage...yea. It was an interesting panel.

After Misha's amazing panel, we got ready for autographs with Mark Sheppard and Sebastian Roche. We met Mark first, and it was just a  hi and bye situation, unfortunately. I was nervous, and couldn't think of anything clever to say. When we met Sebastian for his autograph, he remembered me! Not by name, but still. He said he recognized me, and when I said I did karaoke, it clicked, and he said I did awesome. He also said something about me twerking. Ah! I can't twerk, for the record, but there was some booty popping. Not gonna lie. When at Supernatural Con...

After a quick dinner, Jon and I met up with Sammi, who was my best friend in middle school. It had been over a year since we last saw each other, so I was happy to be able to catch up. We met up at the only bar in that part of Houston, which was the Hoot County Saloon. It's hard to describe the strangeness/awesomeness of this place. It was just this little bar with a giant horse in the corner. No exaggeration on the giant.

When we left Sammi, we headed back to the convention for the Saturday Night Cabaret! It was basically a Louden Swain concert (amazing!), and then they invited some stars from the show to come up and perform a song or two. We got there a bit late, so we missed Mark Pellegrino's performance, but we managed to catch the rest of the show. It was a blast!

After the show, Louden Swain signed autographs for anyone who bought Louden Swain merch. I bought a picture for them to sign, and was among the first few to get an autograph. Rob complimented me on my karaoke singing from the night before. I was so humbled that he remembered me and had kind words to say. I'm officially a super fan. The guitarist, Billy, complimented my hair, which was so nice. The bassist, Mike, is Filipino, and we had a little conversation about how we're both Filipino, and he signed my picture with "Pinoy Power!"

I was so sad to see Saturday come to an end, but both Jon and I were exhausted. We pretty much passed out after going back to the hotel room.

Check out the highlight video of all of the Saturday fun on my YouTube channel:
