october highlights {+blog swapportunity}

I'm so happy that it is finally November! It's not like November is my favorite month or anything; I'm just excited that the months are moving along because I'm ready for June to get here so I can finally be on my way to Europe! There are a lot of exciting things that are going to happen along the way though, I'm sure.

October was a fabulous month for me. So many things happened, and I feel like it all went by in a flash. I'm kind of cheating with the thankful project today, because I'm the prompt is to write about an event you're thankful for, but I'm going to write several events from the past month that I'm thankful for. 

Here are some of my favorite October happenings: I went on my first blate! I met up with Haylee from Jets and a Brunette at a local Shreveport coffee shop called Rhino Coffee. We talked for two hours, and it was awesome. I'm so excited to have found a local blogger, and I can't wait to have more blates! I won my first giveaway! I won signed copies of two of Meg Cabot's books, Underworld and Size 12 and Ready to Rock. They're both parts of series, and I haven't read the first of either of them, so I'll have to read those before I can tackle these two books.

Weekend with the boyf. I loved doing Halloweenie things with my man and then spending a lot of time doing a lot of nothing. Days with him are always amazing no matter what we do. I just wish we could see each other more often. I helped plan another event for work. It was a networking event that we turned into a fall carnival. It was so much fun (and very stressful) to plan. I'm so excited that I got to be a part of it, and dress up for it!

I got the Tech Fam traveling notebook. It's always a nice surprise when I get the notebook because it takes forever to travel between the ten of us. It's so fun to see all of my friends' personalities on paper though.  I rediscovered my love of one of my favorite shows from childhood, Roswell, thanks to Netflix. I'm currently in the middle of the second season, and I just wish I had enough time to watch it every second of my day. I don't remember what happens in the end, but I can't wait to find out!
