ch-ch-changes.

So, on Friday, I mentioned that I had some exciting news. Trust me, this is much more exciting for me than it will be for all of you, but I'm still excited to share. I'm moving out of my parents' house. Holla! My friend, Amanda's, roommate moved out, and she asked me to move in with her.

Roomies!

I jumped at the chance because I know we'll be good roommates (we've been friends for 9 years, y'all), and the rent is so cheap compared to all of the places I looked at getting on my own. Plus she has a cute puppy named Tosh.

I spent the whole weekend moving into my new place. Sister helped me on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, my friend, Justin, and his friend helped move my couches and desk and some boxes that I couldn't quite carry by myself. All I have left to move are my clothes, TV, VCR (yes, I still watch VHS's), and things that I have to use until I fully move in. Here's my progress:

Amanda didn't have any couches, but luckily I had two in storage from my first apartment. The entire living room is going to be rearranged, but for now, it looks like that.

My bathroom is the only thing that looks like it's coming together. I lined all of the cabinets with these cute black and white liners from Dollar Tree. The jars on the bottom are going to be filled with cotton balls, q-tips, make-up applicators, etc. I also want to make a magnetic make-up thing for the wall.

My room is just a mess. I have a long way to go. I have a lot of exciting ideas though! My plan is make it a travel theme. I want to get some old suitcases and art from famous cities around the world. I also need to get a bigger bookshelf, a world map, and a globe.

If you have any ideas for a travel themed bedroom, please share! How was your weekend?

  2. Cuuuuuuuute! That is so very exciting. You should get a world map and post push pins or pictures to the places you've been if you've traveled a lot. Or color theme push pins - 1 color be for places you've been and 1 color for places you want to go

  4. The magazine shaped things (like you did for faces of HP) in the shapes of countries you want/will visit could be cute. The string with clothespins holding postcards from all over would be cool.
