ESFJ, baybay.

Participating in Blogtember today with Jenni from Story of My Life. I've taken this personality test many a times, and I always come up with the same results: ESFJ, and I'm proud to be one, y'all!

Most people would say I'm pretty extroverted. I'm pretty hyper (especially after a few marshmallows). I love meeting new people, but sometimes my introverted side shows at the initial meeting. After a few minutes of conversation (or a few glasses of wine), it'll be like we're old friends. According to Joe Butt (the person who wrote up all this info here with an unfortunate name), ESFJs show a large range of emotions in a short amount of time (see? The only reason I'm emotional is because it's embedded into my personality! Not my fault). ESFJs wear our hearts on our sleeves and don't hide our feelings. Yup. So true.

ESFJs love a good party! And celebrating birthdays and other traditions. That's so me! I love finding (or making) the perfect gift for someone (even though it stresses me out!). I like to think that I'm generous when my wallet allows me to be.

ESFJs like to be in charge. Sure do. We like to give to others, but also expect something in return (generous with a hidden agenda?). ESFJs also have a very contradictory personality. No wonder I argue with myself all the time! It's part of my personality apparently.

Some famous (and some fictional) ESFJs:
Terry Bradshaw (Heck Yeah Tech Yeah!)
Rachel McAdams
Bill Clinton (Oh hey, Prez)
Monica from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. (best show ever)
Molly Weasley from Harry Potter
Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh

I'm okay with that.

Career Choices for ESFJs:
Hotel and Restaurant Management (I work at a hotel!)
Sales/Marketing Specialist (I'm in sales and I love marketing!)
Fashion Merchandising (I wish.)
Nursing (I went to a psychic once, and she said that I would end up in the medical field - doubt it)
Education (I used to want to teach!)
Social Work (I was a sociology major for a little while, and I wanted to be a social worker.)

Thankfully being indecisive is part of my personality type, because if it wasn't, I wouldn't really have an excuse. I change my mind way too much.

Have you ever taken the Jung Typology Test? What's your personality type?

  1. so even though I got introvert, I think I also relate to this! I really love the way you write, because it just makes me laugh, and even though I don't really know a lot about Mindy Kaling, that's who I think of when I'm reading your blog! your about me page made me laugh so hard and gave me great inspiration to redo mine.

  2. ENTJ. I definitely got some interesting people in my group:
Roosevelt, Nixon, Thatcher, Letterman, Bill Gates, Al Gore, the Penguin, and Lex Luther.
I'm destined to be either evil, powerful, rich, or a combination thereof. I'm okay with it ;)
