Endless Bliss | Happy Lifestyle Blog: no bond like a sister bond {thankful project}.

no bond like a sister bond {thankful project}.

Post two for Saturday. I'm out of control. Day 2 of the Thankful Project has to do with "a role you've played."
I'm going to steal Kenzie's answer and say that I'm thankful for the role I've played as a big sister.
I've spent most of my life living away from my little sister. I lived with my dad until I was 15. I would visit my mom and spend a lot of time with my sister. Right before I turned 16, I moved in with my mom, thus getting to live with my sister for almost a full 4 years in high school then when I graduated, I moved away again for college, then finally I moved back home again last year.
My sister and I have a very unique relationship compared to other siblings. We literally never fight. It's kind of weird actually. I remember when we were younger, I used to get mad at her because she would copy everything that I did, but apart from that, I can't really remember a time that we've intensely fought with each other. She's probably the only person I can go on vacation with without getting into an argument with.
I always forget that she's six years younger than me (6 years, 6 months, and 6 days to be exact. Not. Even. Kidding.). I feel like she's so much more mature than people her age and definitely more mature than I was at her age. She doesn't care about having a boyfriend or being involved in everything like I was when I was in high school.
Doing the tongue thing before Miley.
We share some of the greatest and weirdest memories. We do dorky things together that other people think are lame. We quote movies that other people have never even heard of. We share an endless amount of inside jokes. She knows more about my life than most people do. We understand each other in a way that no one else ever will. I'm so thankful to have such an awesome little sister, and I hope I've done a decent job of setting a good example for her.
Some of my favorite mems:
  • Making a Lizzie McGuire board/trivia game and playing it with only each other even though we already knew all of the answers since we wrote all of the questions.
  • Having photoshoots with disposable cameras.
  • Dreading the shopping trips to JCPenney.
  • Planning our trip to Europe!
  • Having singing competitions.
  • Watching every single movie with Mary-Kate and Ashley and memorizing all of the words.
  • Taking our first sister roadtrip together to Austin.
  • Singing "Believe" by Cher while jumping on the bed.
So many memories, and of course, many more to come. Love you, seeester!

  1. Being a big sister is great, isn't it? =]
This makes me wish me and my younger sister were closer in age. I'm 22 and she's 13, but her mind exceeds her age. I love doing fun things with her as well.
you and your sister look so much a like and looks like you two have a great bond ^_^ love it!
